Nature and Wildlife

If you love nature and wildlife, then Ruthven Falls will be your ideal place. Next to the development is the famed River Isla which has seen trout, salmon and grayling along with the odd otter and beaver making this their home. Along the rugged Angus coastline, you can spot ospreys, razorbills, seals and dolphins, and when heading into the hills there are stags, pheasants, red kites, red squirrels and grouse. You could also be lucky enough to spot golden eagles, wildcats, mountain hares and pine martins in the Cairngorm Mountains. Perthshire is also known as Big Tree Country, including more champion trees than anywhere else in the UK and more than 200,000 acres of woodlands to explore.
